An illiterate farmer's daughter talks her way to a disinherited prince, breaks the siege of Orléans in days, and has him crowned at Reims inside three months. Captured the following year, sold to the English, tried by French churchmen and burned at nineteen. Twenty-five years later the same church declared that trial a fraud.
